Tapanuli Utara (North Tapanuli) is on of Regency that located in North Sumatera with to be exactly in gegrafic between 1° 20' - 2° 41' North Horizontal Line and 98° 05 - 99° 15' East Vertical Line with the mother name city is Tarutung.

At the Dam of this river can found the small market place that sale food or beverage. This place still use for the Tarutung boys and girls.
From the Dam tourism can see the panorama direct to Dolok Siatas Barita (Siatas Barita Hill) and Dolong Martimbang (Martimbang Hill). In Siatas Barita Hill can found Salib Kasih and in Martimbang Hill can found Televition Transmiter (TVRI).
In Tarutung can found a building especially for art with the name Ard Building (Sopo Partungkoan) that has architecture like as Batak House Tradition. Between of this building found the government building, DPRD Building in over right and Government Employee in over left.
